Ingredients
1 lb elbow macaroni
4 tbsp butter
¼ cup all-purpose flour
3 cups whole milk
1 cup heavy cream
2 cups sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
1 cup Monterey Jack cheese, shredded
½ tsp garlic powder
½ tsp paprika
Salt and black pepper
Topping
1 cup panko breadcrumbs
2 tbsp melted butter
¼ cup Parmesan cheese
Instructions
Cook the macaroni until al dente. Drain and set aside.
Melt the butter in a saucepan. Whisk in the flour and cook for one minute. Slowly pour in the milk and heavy cream while whisking constantly until the sauce thickens.
Add the cheddar, mozzarella, Monterey Jack, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper. Stir until smooth and creamy.
Fold the cooked macaroni into the cheese sauce.
Transfer everything into a baking dish.
Mix the panko breadcrumbs with melted butter and Parmesan, then sprinkle evenly over the top.
Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 20–25 minutes, until golden and bubbling.
Serve immediately while the cheese is hot and creamy.
