Ingredients

1 cup unsalted butter, melted

2 cups granulated sugar

1 cup brown sugar

4 large eggs

2 tsp vanilla extract

1 cup unsweetened cocoa powder

1½ cups all-purpose flour

½ tsp salt

1 tsp baking powder

1½ cups chocolate chips

Instructions

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper.

In a large bowl, whisk together the melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth. Add the eggs one at a time, then mix in the vanilla extract.

Sift together the cocoa powder, flour, salt, and baking powder. Gradually fold the dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.

Stir in the chocolate chips, reserving a handful to sprinkle on top.

Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread it evenly. Sprinkle the remaining chocolate chips over the surface.

Bake for 30–35 minutes, until the edges are set but the center remains soft and fudgy.

Allow the brownies to cool before cutting into squares. Serve plain or with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
